The lively Northern Old Town is known for its gabled houses and maritime buildings and extends around the pink town hall from 1270 with its 7 towers. The Rostock Cultural History Museum, located in a 13th-century monastery, offers exhibitions of crafts and paintings. The ramparts are a park on the site of the former city wall. This also includes the Kröpeliner Tor, a preserved city gate. The streets are mostly part of a pedestrian zone and offer casual restaurants and department stores.

The beach in Warnemünde, the shipping museum, Karl's adventure village Rövershagen or the lively Kröpeliner Straße shopping mile - there is a lot to see and experience in Rostock for the whole family.
